Child Mortality:
Problem:
There is a problem with children dying at a young age. The majority of the children are dying before the first year. 14 babies under one month are dying every hour making it 120,000 babies every year.
Causes:
These things are happening mainly because of lack of education. The main reason for the deaths are because of infections, low birth weight, and the women having their babies early. The babies are getting infections because most of the births are happening at home and they don't know all of the things needed to care for the babe properly at birth. The mothers don't take care of the skin, eyes and umbilical cord and so they get infected and can cause death.
Solution:
To be able to help improve child mortality we need to work on giving mothers the training they need to know how to be healthy and continue towards being full term before giving birth. We can have people volunteer from other countries that are doing better volunteer for seminars to teach them all of the things needed o be pregnant and having a child and what is needed to bring them into this life and keep them healthy. If the mothers are taking the right vitamins and taking care of themselves they will have a bester chance of giving birth to a healthy baby, which will give the baby a better chance for survival. If the mothers were to breast-feed their babies that would give them the vitamins and nutrients they need to build up an amine system in their first few months of life.

Problem:
If the children make it past birth and the first year, every one in five children under five are being acting pneumonia. They are getting sick and can't afford medicine and can't get bester and so they die.
Causes:
The children live in such harsh environments and don't have the medication needed to stay healthy they are catching diseases and are getting sick, which causes the children to die at a young age. Because the parents are poor and don't have the money to buy the needed medication they are forced to just do what they can at home on their own and eventually let their child die.
Solution:
To help children stay healthy we need to give them all of the immunization shots for children 12 years old and younger. If they give out the shots at a low price or even for free, with donated funds, for the children. Volunteers can go around to all of the houses and make sure all of the children in each household has their shots every year and each time a new baby is born. This can take some time but if everyone split up into groups and each took a section of each village then it can go faster and get more children taken care of in the amount of time given.
